9-38 Upgrading Your Server
Installation
Install a file device in the following procedure. This section describes how to install an optional
SCSI device, for an example:
1.
Provide the proper setting for the device.
See the table below for the settings of the devices which can be installed in the device bay.

Termination resistance OFF*
* If the terminator is not attached to the optional internal SCSI cable, set the termination
resistance to ON.
2.
See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.
3.
Remove the left side cover and front mask as described earlier in this chapter.
4.
Remove all the cables from the factory-installed optical disk drive and the devices
installed in the device bay.
5.
Remove the screws securing the hard disk drive bay.
6.
Pull out the file bay from the server with the release tabs on the both sides of the file bay
pushed.
