Finding a Name and Number
To find a name or extension number in the directory, press the function
key for Find on the Corporate Directory window. The directory
Employee Search window displays ( Figure 6-5 ).

Step 1
Using the dial keys, enter the desired name or extension number value in
the
Search
field. (See
Entering Text Using the Dial Keys
in this chapter.)
Step 2
Press the cursor key down to highlight the Search By field. Press the
cursor key left/right to scroll to a category. (Default category is Full
Name.)
Step 3
Press the function key for
Find
to search the directory. The Corporate
Directory window will display with all entries meeting the search
parameters.
Step 4
Press the function key for Cancel to return to the main Corporate
Directory window.
NOTE
Your are able to do a quick search in the Corporate Directory window by pressing a
dial key while in a character (lower or upper) entry mode, which will cause the
character you entered to be displayed in red at the top of the window, and then
pressing the
Enter key. This will do a search as if you had gone to the Employee
Search window, entered that one character in the Search field, selected Full Name in
the Search By field, and press
Find
.
