Entering Text Using the Dial Keys
Key input into text fields is similar to that of a mobile phone. The
number pad provides both numeric input as well as alpha input. The
INASET SDK handles the functionality automatically for a text field that
has focus.
There are three modes of data entry:
• Numeric
• Uppercase
• Lowercase
The user can toggle between uppercase, lower case, and numeric mode
by repeatedly pressing the “#” key. An application can explicitly enable
an input field to the numeric mode via the INASET R2. Depending on the
mode, the user can proceed through the characters by repeatedly
pressing the key. A pause of more than 1.5 seconds between key
presses will cause the cursor to advance to the next input position. Table
5-2 through Table 5-4 provide summaries of the key inputs based on the
input mode.

PBX Information Display
Information from the PBX will display in this area.
This would include PBX time, date, and call status
information.
Function Keys
Function keys will appear in various operating
modes.

Function keys area used to select the various
menu functions.
