Boss/Secretary Message Waiting
A Secretary can set the Message Waiting indicator lamp on
a Boss’ INASET R2 when a call is received for the boss.
(Procedures shown for Secretary and Boss both with
INASET R2 phones.)
To Set Message Waiting on Boss’ INASET R2
With caller on line:
• Secretary lifts handset or presses Speaker key.
• Press the function key associated with line key for the
Boss’ ringing line. Ask calling party to hold.
• Press the function key associated with line key for
MW-SET . (No service tone is heard.)
• Boss sees Message Waiting lamp and can call
Secretary to receive call.
Without caller on the line:
• Secretary takes message from caller, presses the
Home key for Function Keys .
• Press the function key for Recall , hear dial tone.
• Press the funtion key for MW-SET . Hear service set
tone.
• Message waiting lamp is set on Boss’ INASET R2.
To Cancel Message Waiting at Boss’ INASET R2
With Caller on the line:
• While engaged in conversation on Boss’ line,
Secretary presses function key for MW-SET . (No
service tone is heard.)
• Message waiting is canceled.
Without caller on the line:
• Secretary lifts handset or presses the Speaker key,
hears dial tone.
• Press the Boss’ line key.
• Press the function key for
MW-SET , hear service set
tone. Message waiting is canceled.
NOTE
The secretary can hang up after taking a message, and set the message waiting
lamp at anytime by going off hook on the Boss’ line and pressing the function key for
MW-SET .
