System Controller PWB Replacement
See Figures

in the Mechanical Drawings section (Section 6) of this manual.
1. Use the system controller’s front panel UI
Control
menu to record all settings in each sub-
menu (e.g., Sys Forward Power, Channel Select, etc.). You will need to re-enter these
settings after the replacement PWB is installed.
2. Turn off the transmitter system and disconnect (or disable) its ac power sources.
3. Open the system cabinet’s rear door and locate the system controller (A1).
4. Disconnect all cabing from the rear of the system controller. Remove the system controller
from the system cabinet, noting it is secured using four front panel screws.
5. Place the system controller - top side up - on a suitable work surface. Remove the system
controller’s top cover, noting it is secured using M3 screws.
6. Disconnect all mating plugs from the system controller PWB (A1A1). Remove the D-sub
connector’s securing screws using a 5 mm socket (Nautel Part # HAS80, provided in the
ancillary kit).
7. Remove the seven M3 screws that secure the system controller PWB to the system
controller. Retain hardware.
8. Remove the system controller PWB from the system controller, noting some of its
connectors protrude through the rear panel.
9. Locate or obtain a replacement system controller PWB (Nautel Part # NAPC157). Reverse

to reinstall the new system controller PWB. If necessary, refer to
Table 3.4 on page 3-3
for connector mating details for A1A1.
10. Restore all

menu settings that were recorded in
Step 1
. The transmitter should
resume normal operation and any associated alarms should clear.
NOTE:
The system controller PWB is static sensitive and must be handled in a static protected manner.
