LED PWB Replacement
See Figure

(right side view) in the Mechanical Drawings section (Section 6) of this manual.
1. Disconnect the associated VHF transmitter’s (A or B) ac power source, disconnect all
cabling from the rear of the transmitter and remove it from the system cabinet.
2. Place the VHF transmitter - top side up - on a suitable work surface. Remove the
transmitter’s top cover, noting it is secured using M3 screws.
3. Remove the power supply modules (U3 and U4) from the transmitter.
4. Disconnect ribbon cable connector W4P2 from the LED PWB (A7).
5. Remove the four M3 screws that secure the LED PWB to the transmitter’s front panel.
Retain hardware.
6. Remove the LED PWB from the VHF transmitter.
7. Locate or obtain a replacement LED PWB (Nautel Part # NAPX40). Reverse

to reinstall the new LED PWB. The transmitter should resume normal
operation and any associated alarms should clear.
