Messaging
6. Messaging
You can compose, send and receive a variety of messages through your MWg Atom Life.
These include SMS (Short Messaging Service), MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), Chat,
Voice Mail, E-mail and IM (Instant Messaging service).This chapter will guide you through the
steps of using these messaging services.
You may choose to display a menu of SMS, MMS and E-mail accounts when opening
Messaging.
To enable this function:
1. In Messaging, go to
Menu
>
Tools
>
Options
.
2. In the Accounts tab, check “Display account picker when opening Messaging.”
3. Click ok to confirm.
To disable account picker:
1. In Messaging, go to
Menu
>
Options
.
2. In the Accounts tab, uncheck “Display account picker when opening Messaging.”
3. Click ok to confirm.
6.1 Text
Write a text message
To create a text message:
1. Tap
Start
>
Menu > New
.
Please note
If the account picker is enabled, you may need to select an account type (Text Message/
MMS/New E-mail Account) before creating a new message.
2. Add recipients in the
To:
field. Alternatively, tap the
Menu
tab >
Add Recipient
.
3. To edit the message, tap on the edit screen and key in the text. For the entry method,
please refer to
2.7 Entering information
.
4. To add predefined text, tap
Menu
>
My Text
and select a text.
5. When you finish editing text, you can start the spell check by tapping
Menu
>
Spell
Check
.
6. To save a message to the draft box, tap
Menu
>
Save to Drafts
.
7. Before you send a message, you can choose to receive a delivery notification by tapping
Menu
>
Message Options
and checking the
Request message delivery notification
box.
8. To send a message, tap
Send
.
