FACEPIECE ASSEMBLY
If the facepiece is disassembled for decontamination, follow the steps below to reassemble.
1. Stretch the gasket around the speaking diaphragm. The gasket should be installed so that the thin-
ner rim of the gasket is on the side of the diaphragm with 4 small bumps.
2. Insert speaking diaphragm and gasket assembly into facepiece such that the side of the speaking
diaphragm with 4 small bumps faces outward. The gasket has two sealing surfaces. The first sealing
surface should be pressed into the mask completely before pressing in the second sealing surface.
Ensure the gasket is laying flat, with no rolls.
3. Attach the yoke to the facepiece by aligning the tabs on the facepiece with the larger slots on the
yoke. The yoke’s webbing slots should point upwards. Push straight down on the center of the yoke
until you hear a click.
