SPORTS MODE: TURNING ON
With your batteries installed, it is good practice to first turn on your MASTER Controller. Now on the chassis pull up the red E-Stop button
on the top of the CORE. Once the desired operation mode has been selected on the MASTER Controller, the start-up initialisation sequence
will begin. For more details see “AGITO OS Menu Structure” on page 15. The CORE Power button will flash if it is unable to connect.
IF THE AGITO IS FULLY LADEN ITS GOOD PRACTICE TO SLIGHTLY LIFT THE AGITO WHILE IT PERFORMS THIS
CALIBRATION. THIS WILL REDUCE UNNECESSARY THE WEAR OF THE STEERING ACTUATORS AND TYRES.
WHEN TURNING ON THE MASTER CONTROLLER BE CAREFUL NOT TO PRESS ANY BUTTON
OTHER THAN THE POWER SWITCH, SPECIFICALLY THE THROTTLE INPUT / PEDALS. ON
START-UP THE CONTROLLER RUNS THROUGH A CALIBRATION PROCESS, IF THE THROTTLE
INPUT IS NOT CENTRED THEN THE AGITO MAY ACCELERATE UNEXPECTEDLY.
THE CALIBRATION PROCESS FINISHES WHEN THE MAIN MENU SCREEN APPEARS.

SPORTS MODE: START UP CONNECTION & CALIBRATION
Once Sports Mode has been selected from the Top Level menu, the MASTER will display the Connect / Calibrate screen. During the
connection process the system will check the calibration status of the drive-end, if required the screen will give the operator the chance to
proceed or skip steering calibration.
Once Connection and Calibration is complete and the MASTER displays the Mode Operation screen, check that the ‘Wheels’ type is
shown correctly on the MASTER Controller screen. If this is not shown as expected, change these in the Menu, “Mode Settings (Sports
Mode)” on page 22

SPORTS MODE: DRIVING
AGITO has 2 key control modes of operation, these are set in the ‘Motor Mode’ and ‘Throttle Mode’ settings on the MASTER Controller.
MOTOR MODE
Motor Mode controls whether or not AGITO runs in open or encoded modes of operation. It is important to recognise the differences that
these modes have on the operational characteristics and available features whilst driving AGITO.
• ‘Encoded’ this is the most accurate mode and if very slow speeds are required. However, the Maximum Speed is capped. The turning
in this mode is “softer” than open mode
• ‘Open’ allows you to travel at higher speeds and gives a more responsive feel to throttle inputs, but is less accurate at maintaining a
specific speed
• ‘Automatic’ switches between the modes depending on your speed setting.
The system cannot switch from encoded to non-encoded mode during operation, so check that the correct mode is selected at the beginning
of the move.
