Getting Started with Your Tablet PC
NOTE:
Unless stated otherwise, all references to the LE-Series Tablet PC
apply to the Touch Screen Tablet PC.
NOTE:
The Function button and eraser functionality of the pen are not
enabled when used with the Touch Screen Tablet PC.
For best results, we recommend that you calibrate your pen before using it
for the first time. For information about this and other pen procedures, refer
to “Calibrating and Using Your Pen” on page 27.
Tablet PCs from Motion Computing
®
combine the best features of desktop and
notebook computing with the unique mobility and versatility found only in Tablet
PCs. This chapter provides a quick start overview of the hardware and software
features of your Tablet PC. Any differences between the Tablet PC models are
noted.
Most features of the Tablet PC hardware and software work the same on all models.
However, because the Touch Screen Tablet PC does not contain a digitizer display,
the pen and display functions of the Touch Screen Tablet PC are different than the
pen and display functions on Tablet PCs containing the digitizer display. These
differences are described throughout this chapter and chapters 2 and 3.
• Chapter 2 provides specific details on how to set up and use the Tablet PC.
• Chapter 3 contains information about the Care and Maintenance of your new
Tablet PC.
• Appendix A contains a summary of common problems and the steps to take if
those problems occur.
• Appendix B contains a reference for accessing the Tablet PC specifications.
It is not necessary to read this document from cover to cover. If you are already
familiar with personal computers, you may feel comfortable proceeding to the
instructions in the next chapter.
If there are certain things you want to learn about your new Tablet PC, look in the
Table of Contents or search for that topic; see
“How To Search The PDF
Documentation” on page iii
