LE-Series and LS-Series (non-touch screen)
Writing on the Motion Tablet PC digitizer display in this user guide refers to any
handwritten input using the specially-designed Motion digitizer pen (pen button and
eraser not functional with the Touch Screen Tablet PC) that is provided. Because
the digitizer pen contains electronics, the display responds only to this pen and not
to any other type of pen, stylus, or other pointing device such as those used with
personal digital assistants (PDAs). The display surface may be damaged by ink
pens or other pointed or abrasive objects.
Touch Screen
The Touch Screen Tablet PC contains a touch sensitive display that enables you to
select and enter data using a pointing device (finger or pen). Because the Touch
Screen Tablet PC does not contain a digitizer display, the pen functions only as a
pointing device and the pen functionality as used with non-touch screen Tablet PCs
is not enabled. Other pointing devices can be used with the touch screen such as
any non-abrasive, smooth, or blunt object that will not damage the touch screen
display. The touch screen surface can be damaged by ink pens, marker pens, or
other pointed or abrasive objects.
I
NK
The term ink refers to digital ink, i.e., hand-drawn or handwritten input and that can
be displayed or converted into text.
