PROFIBUS-DP expansion
Proceed as follows to expand the configuration with remote I/Os
via PROFIBUS-DP:
Adding a PROFIBUS-DP module to the XC600 device

Ensure that the default address CE000 is set on the
module

Select Configuration_XC600 in the PLC Configuration window.
Click on the right mouse button and select ‹ Append
Subelement
r XC-NET-DP-M...›.
This will open a window with four register tabs for setting
parameters (
a fig. 53).

Alter only the baud rate in the Bus Parameter register from
9.600 kbits/s to 1500 or 12000kbit/s.
All other parameters can remain unchanged.
Adding a remote XI/ON gateway
X
Select the element XC-NET-DP-M and click the right mouse
button. Choose Append Subelement
r XN-GW-PBDP-12MB....
The following window will appear, with default parameters:

Switch to the Input/Output register to configure the inputs and
outputs.
X
Select the required input/output modules from the left column
and transfer them to the right column, using the Select button.
The order of the modules in the right-hand column must match the
configuration of the controller.
The Bus-Refreshing module is listed in the Empty Modules group.
