The higher-level menu appears, and the bootable program is

the working memory that is not deleted by this procedure. If the
OMS is set to RUN-P, this indicates that the (executable) program
is still running. The program can only be deleted via a Reset
(HARD/Original).
Deleting programs from the working memory
The program can be deleted by means of a Reset (HARD/Original),
a
following section.
Reset function (initialisation of variables)
The function can be executed via XSoft as well as via the operator
module.
Executing Reset via XSoft
The Reset function can be executed in three different ways via the
XSoft Online menu or via the operator module of the XC600:
Method 1:
This function initialises the simple variables and POU variables.
The variable assigned with RETAIN will be retained. The PLC is
switched from RUN to STOP status.
Method 2:
This function initialises the simple variables and POU variables as
well as those variables that have been declared with RETAIN.
The PLC is switched from RUN to STOP status.
Method 3:
After this function has been executed, the STOP LED will light up.
The executable program has been deleted, the bootable program
is retained, but it has been deactivated. When you restart the PLC,
the display will show “PROG:???” (no program). You have to
switch the supply voltage off and on again to restart a program via
XSoft or to reactivate a saved and bootable program. As an
alternative, you can also use the REBOOT or LOAD function. The
OMS must be set to RUN (-P).
