Diagnostics for the local XI/ON-BUS and the PROFIBUS-DP/
CANopen bus
For the local XI/ON bus or the PROFIBUS-DP bus: EXTENDEDINFO
contains general diagnostic data for the participants and the
diagnostic structure specified in the PROFIBUS-DP standard, with
six standard diagnostic bytes and the following manufacturer-
specific diagnostic data, as described on the device documentation
and the corresponding GSD file.
In the following description, the most important data have a grey
background.
EXTENDEDINFO[0]
// for PROFIBUS-DP: Slave address
EXTENDEDINFO[1..4]
// No significance
EXTENDEDINFO[5]
// Length byte for the device diagnosis
EXTENDEDINFO[6&7]
// No significance
EXTENDEDINFO[8..13]
// 6 octets of DP standard diagnosis
according to the standard
EXTENDEDINFO[8]
// Status_1
Bit 0:
Device does not respond (no
valid IO-data)
Bit 1:
Slave not ready
Bit 2:
Configuration discrepancy
Bit 3:

EXTENDEDINFO[10]
// No significance
EXTENDEDINFO[11]
// With PROFIBUS-DP: master address
EXTENDEDINFO[12&13]
// Own ID number
EXTENDEDINFO[14]
// Length byte for the manufacturer-specific
data
EXTENDEDINFO[15..99]
// Free for manufacturer-specific diagnosis.
2 bytes are available for local and remote
XI/ON modules, to hold general messages.
The messages are derived from the GSD file
for the local XI/ON and the remote XI/ON
Gateway. They are Bytes 15 and 16 of the
EXTENDEDINFO output. The next byte
(EXTENDEDINFO[17..max. 99]) contains
the error code for the modules with
diagnostic capability. This is performed in
the sequence of the modules. There is no
byte for modules without a diagnostic
capability.
