2.2.2 Transportation procedure (with two people)
Mass:
32kg
Fig.2-1: Transportation of robot arm (Transportation by people)
1) The robot must be transported by two workers. Use a cart or other device for transporting the robot
near the installation place. The following instructions for carrying the robot are applicable only when
the robot is transferred onto the stand or another cart, or moved for positioning.
2) Transport the robot in the same posture that it came in, with one person holding the end of the forearm
and elbow, and another person holding the area under the elbow. Never hold the robot by its cover.
Holding the robot by its cover will cause an accident as the robot may fall over, drop, or the cover may
become damaged. Do not apply force to the cover or subject the robot to large impacts during trans-
portation. Ensure that the machine cable does not get caught on anything or get pulled during trans-
portation.
3) Transfer the robot slowly. Be careful not to get injured with the edge of the robot arm.
4) Before moving the robot to a new location, re-attach the support bracket to the mechanical interface,
then secure the robot in the packaging that it came in. Transporting the robot without attaching it to the
support bracket may cause damage to peripherals. Furthermore, the robot may become unstable due
to an unfavorable center of gravity and cause an accident.
Do not hold the cover of the robot for carrying it.
For secondary transportation, adjust the posture of each axis of the robot as
specified in
