During installation, ensure that there is enough space at the rear of the robot to
connect the machine cable. Refer to "Outside dimension • Operating range dia-
gram" in the Standard Specifications Manual for the dimensions of the space
required to connect the machine cable.
Do not install the robot arm in areas where direct sunlight is present or heat is gen-
erated from lighting.
A rise in the temperature of the robot arm surface may cause an error.
2.2.4 Ceiling mounting procedure
1) Use three people to assist with the installation of the robot when mounting it to a ceiling. Transport the
robot to a position beneath the installation area. Refer to
"2.2.2 Transportation procedure (with two

2) Insert the forks of a forklift into a pallet, then place the robot on the pallet. To protect the acrylic cover,
set the robot down on the side of its upper arm. Lay a mat or similar cushioning over the pallet to pro-
tect the robot from scratches.
