Volume control on the 5304 phone
Use volume control to change ring volume, handset volume, and speaker
volume.
NOTE:
The ring, handset, and speaker volumes return to their default settings if
the phone loses power.
Change ring volume on the 5304 phone
To change the ring volume on your phone, follow these steps:
1. From another phone, make a call to your extension.
2. While it is ringing, repeatedly press the scroll/arrow keys until the ring volume
is at the level you want.
Change handset volume on the 5304 phone
To change the volume of the sound you hear through the handset, follow these
steps:
1. Lift the handset. You will hear dial tone.
2. Repeatedly press the scroll/arrow keys until the volume is at the level you
want.
3. Replace the handset.
Change speaker volume on the 5304 phone
To change the volume of the sound you hear through the speaker, follow these
steps:
1. With the handset on-hook, press an idle Line Appearance key. You will hear
dial tone.
2. Repeatedly press the scroll/arrow keys until the volume is at the level you
want.
Using a headset
The Mitel 5212, 5224, 5312, 5324, 5330, and 5340 IP phones support the use of
specially designed headsets made by Plantronics. The following headset types
are available:

Monaural over-the ear
•
Binaural over-the head with voice tube
•
Binaural over the head with noise canceling microphone
Some headsets are all supplied with a control switch that can be used to mute
the microphone.
