Transition properties and permissions
A transition’s properties are initially defined when the transition is created using the
N
EW
T
RANSITION
dialog box (see
“Adding a new transition to the workflow” on page 10-18
). Once
the transition has been created you can view or edit the transition’s properties and
permission assignment in the
T
RANSITION
P
ROPERTIES
dialog box (see
“Editing a transition’s
properties and permissions” on page 10-20
).
The

ROPERTIES
dialog box is accessed by:

Double-clicking the transition’s name in the
A
VAILABLE
T
RANSITIONS
list
Or,
•
Selecting the transition’s name and then clicking the
P
ROPERTIES
button in the lower-
left corner of the Workflow page’s Transition view.

A transition is defined by the properties values set on the
T
RANSITION
tab.
These properties
not only affect the transition’s behavior, but they also determine the features and behavior
of the Work Order window in the Vertigo Suite applications. Meanwhile, the
P
ERMISSIONS
tab allows you to add permissions to the transition to determine who can execute the
transition.
