Do not use the product for any other purpose.

OPERATION

Before starting operation, check the valve, tank drain valves,
or safety relief valve. Bleed the air from the tanks. Failure
to depressurise the tank could result in explosion or serious
personal injury.
Do not use any attachments or accessories that are not
recommended by the manufacturer of the product. The use
of attachments or accessories that are not recommended can
result in serious personal injury.
Do not attach any tools to the open end of the hose until startup
has been completed.
Do not use the product in a dusty or contaminated environment.
Using the product in this type of environment may cause
damage to the unit.

BREAK-IN PERIOD

Before

fi

rst use, run the air compressor at zero tank pressure

with the drain valve fully open for 30 minutes or until the battery
pack is completely discharged.

USING THE PRODUCT

See also the picture section.
1.  Connect the air hose to the coupler on the product.
2.  Choose the pressure on the pressure regulator.
3.  Turn on the product using the auto on/off switch.
4.  Wait until the set pressure is reached.
5.  Use the product for its intended purpose.
After using the product, turn it o

  using the auto on/o

  switch,

depressurise the device at the safety valve, and remove the
battery pack.

OVERLOAD FUNCTION
NOTE:

 The air compressor shuts o

  during an electrical

overload. To reset the internal overload switch, turn o

  the air

compressor and allow the product to cool. Reinstall the battery
pack before resuming operation.

CHECKING THE SAFETY VALVE

Check the safety valve every day.
1.  Install the battery pack.
2.  Place the auto on/off switch in the ON position, and allow

the tank to fill. The compressor turns off when the pressure
reaches the cut-out pressure.

3.  Place the auto on/off switch in the OFF position.
4.  Pull the ring on the safety valve to release the air pressure

for 3–5 seconds. Release the ring. The safety valve must
reset and hold pressure before all the compressed air is
exhausted from the tank or pressure vessel.

If air continues to escape after the safety valve is closed,
contact a MILWAUKEE service facility for repairs.
Do not tamper with the safety valve. The safety valve
automatically releases air if the air tank pressure exceeds
the cutout pressure. The safety valve must work properly
when operating the air compressor. If the safety valve is stuck
open or does not open when the ring is pulled, contact a
MILWAUKEE service facility for repairs.

BATTERIES

Battery packs that have not been used for some time should be
recharged before use.

Temperatures in excess of 50°C (122°F) reduce the
performance of the battery pack. Avoid extended exposure to
heat or sunshine (risk of overheating).
The contacts of chargers and battery packs must be kept clean.
For an optimum lifetime, the battery packs have to be fully
charged after use.
To obtain the longest possible battery life, remove the battery
pack from the charger once it is fully charged.
For battery pack storage longer than 30 days:

Store the battery pack where the temperature is below
27°C and away from moisture.

Store the battery packs in a 30% – 50% charged condition.

Every six months of storage, charge the pack as normal.

BATTERY PACK PROTECTION

In extremely high torque, binding, stalling, and short circuit
situations that cause high current draw, the product vibrates
for about 2 seconds and then the product turns o

 .

To reset the product, release the trigger.
Under extreme circumstances, the internal temperature of the
battery could become too high. If this happens, the battery
shuts down.
Place the battery on the charger to charge and reset it.

TRANSPORTING LITHIUM BATTERIES

Lithium-ion batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods
Legislation requirements.
Transportation of these batteries has to be done in accordance
with local, national, and international provisions and
regulations.

Batteries can be transported by road without further
requirements.

Commercial transport of lithium-ion batteries by third parties
is subject to Dangerous Goods regulations. Transport
preparation and transport are exclusively to be carried out
by appropriately trained persons, and the process has to be
accompanied by corresponding experts.

When transporting batteries:

Ensure that the battery contact terminals are protected and
insulated to prevent short circuit.

Ensure that the battery pack is secured against movement
within the packaging.

Do not transport batteries that are cracked or that leak.

Check with the forwarding company for further advice.

STORING THE PRODUCT

1.  Place the auto on/off switch in the OFF position.
2.  Remove the battery pack.
3.  Disconnect the air hose and the air tool from the product.
4.  Depressurise the product at the safety valve.
5.  Drain the air tanks according to instructions.
6.  Thoroughly clean the air compressor and any accessories.
The hoses may be stored using the strap on top of the air
compressor.
Leave the safety valve open to allow moisture to completely
drain out and to help prevent corrosion on the inside of the
tank.
