6. Additional System Functions (F)
6.1 Ultra320 target Configuration functions
6.1.1 QAS
The PlatinumRAID supports QAS
(Quick Arbitrate and Select) function
of the Ultra320 SCSI protocol. When
implemented with a compatible Host Bus
Adapter, QAS reduces SCSI command
overhead and may provide improved
performance. QAS is optional and, when
enabled, requires the initiation and
detection of a QAS REQUEST message
from a compatible Ultra320 host bus
adapter before starting. Press
ENT
to
enter the Main menu. Press
UP/DOWN
to select the U320 SCSI Target option,
and press
ENT.
6.1.2 Auto Speed Control
The PlatinumRAID can automatically
reduce SCSI speed if the SCSI host
connection is not stable at the negotiated
speed. This option is enabled by default,
and should not be modified unless
instructed by MicroNet Technical
Support.
