Notes and Tips on Using 3DInspect
Please note the following when operating 3DInspect:
1
Never change the settings of the Ethernet interface used when the software is running. This may
cause the operating system to shut down unintentionally.
2
Never disconnect the connection between the sensor and the PC while using the software. Never
disconnect the power supply of the sensor while the software is running.
This may cause the software to shut down unintentionally.
3
In order to be able to activate the “Automation” function extension of 3DInspect, you will need the
surfaceCONTROL 3D 3X10-XX sensor.
4
If you accidentally start a new ROI while defining another when using the mouse in the 3D-View,
you can undo this using the Escape key.
5
If “Setting region of interest for 3D points” mode is active in the 3D-View, you can rotate and
move the 3D-View using the right mouse button (see Chap.
6
When setting ROIs in the 3D-View (see Chap.
), it is often helpful to deactivate the perspec-
, “Perspective” parameter).
7
Save the parameters applied before saving a point cloud. You can then reload these parameters
prior to the point cloud analysis.
8
Select the “?
Help” menu item or press the <F1> key to access the description of the measur-
ing program you are currently using.
9
If you cannot see any point cloud in the “3D-View” and no error messages are displayed in the
status bar, proceed as follows: Reset the parameters to their default settings by using the “Pa-
rameters
Reset parameters” menu item. Valid parameters are now loaded into the “Sensor set-
tings”, and the complete measuring range is displayed in the 3D-display.
