Asymmetric test
Asymmetric test function
is used to check operability of communication
link that has different transmitting and receiving rates.
By testing two
Bercut-ET
should be used: local and remote. On the
local device the test parameters are set. The remote device is on the other
end of asymmetric channel. Test traffic generation can be performed in two
ways:
1.
From local device to remote.
In this case the port
A(B)
is set as a
source port. Port

is selected as a destination one.
2.
From remote device to local.

Connection scheme is shown on the fig. 5.28.

Tests for which the function is available are listed below:
1. RFC 2544: throughput, frame loss, back-to-back.
2. BERT (L2, L3, L4).
3. Complex traffic.
Note:
To transmit data UDP protocol is used. Number of server UDP
port is 0
