Connect/Disconnect
: This button toggles between
Connect
and
Disconnect
. When
Connect
is selected, the path defined to the right of the button will be made. Choosing Disconnect will
open the defined path.
A → B Drop Menus
: From these menus, the input and output of each required path can be
defined. These menus are populated with the channels information for each plug-in card
installed in the EX1200A. When

is displayed, this indicates Slot
1
, channel
CH1_1
has been selected.
+ / - Buttons
: The +/- buttons allow the user to add or delete connections from the given
scanlist.
Wait before next
checkbox: When selected for a connection, the scan list will wait until the
relay has settled before advancing to the next step in the scanlist.
Sweep Field
The
Sweep
phase of the scan step occurs last and consists only of measurement operations. These
measurements can be performed on any of the channels which have the ability to connect to the
DMM via the backplane (see the
EX1200 Switch Card User’s Manual
for information regarding
switch card capabilities). After clicking on the white entry box, the user can 1) click on the black
configuration button on the right to start the
Sweep Wizard
(see Figure 7-7). or 2) enter a valid
sweep sub-step string directly into the box. The wizard allows the user to scan any from any
connected switch card, in ascending order, and allows for one DMM configuration to be selected
per channel. The buttons and menus available in the wizard provide the following functions:

Function
drop menu: By selecting a specific function from this drop menu, the
Sweep
Wizard
will only show channels that are capable of performing the selected DMM function.
Only show configs…
check box: When selected, the
Sweep Wizard
menu will only display
DMM configuration that use the function selected by the
Function
drop menu.
Enabled/Channel
: The
Enabled
checkboxes allow the user to select the
Channels
that will
be connected to the backplane for each sweep.
DMM Config
: This drop menu allows the user to select one of the predefined DMM
configurations. See the
for more information on defining.
Note, if no DMM configurations are saved, an Error will be reported.
