If you are not in the Camera & Parking menu and
an obstacle in the vehicle path is detected, at
speeds below 8 mph (12 km/h) (vehicles with‐
out Active Parking Assist) or 11 mph (18 km/h)
(vehicles with Active Parking Assist), pop up win‐
dow 1 appears in the central display.
Optionally, obstacles detected by Parking Assist
PARKTRONIC from a distance of approximately
3.3 ft (1.0 m) in front 2 and 2.2 ft (0.7 m) on
sides 3 can also be displayed in the Head-up
Display.
System limits
Parking Assist PARKTRONIC does not necessa‐
rily take into account the following obstacles:

Obstacles below the detection range, e.g.
persons, animals or objects.
R
Obstacles above the detection range, e.g.
overhanging loads, overhangs or loading
ramps of trucks.
