1. Depress parking brake pedal.
2. W ith manual transm ission, shift
gear shift lever to 1st or reverse
gears respectively, w ith autom a
tic transm ission, m ove selec
to r lever to position "P ".
3. Safeguard vehicle against rolling
o ff by using chocks or similar.
Place chocks under both
opposite wheels (on dow nhill
side), on a level road on both
sides o f the opposite fro n t wheel
w hen changing a rear wheel.
4. Insert the com bination w rench
in one o f the trim ring slots and
pry o ff the hub cap.
5. Using the com bination w rench,
loosen b u t do not yet remove
the wheel bolts.

. Clean jack supporting tube, if
necessary. (Jack tubes are
behind the fro n t wheel housings
and in fro n t o f the rear wheel
housings.)
7. Insert jack arm into the tube
hole up to the stop. Position the
jack so th at it w ill always be

steel rims only
vertical as seen from the side,
even on inclines. Jack up the
vehicle until the wheel is clear
o f the ground.

. Then back o u t the wheel bolts.
Protect bolt threads from dirt
and sand. Remove the wheel.
9. A d ju st the jack to allow the
wheel to be slipped on w ith o u t
being lifted.
10. Slip on wheel (valve dow n)
and press onto the hub plate.
Screw in wheel bolts but use
only such bolts th a t suit the
particular rim.
