Rapid cooling:
• Turn tem perature sw itch 8
(depressed) and air volum e
control knob 1 clockw ise to
the stop.
• Push lever 5 com pletely to the
left. Open outlets 7.
• Close side w indow s com pletely.
(Warm air inside the car may
first be evacuated by driving
briefly w ith all the side w ind ow s
dow n.)
M ist on outside o f windshield:
In relatively damp w eather the o u t
side o f the w indshield may mist
up w hen the defroster nozzles are
opened. If so, push in tem perature
sw itch 8 .
M ist on inside o f w indow s:
In damp w eather the air co n d itio n
ing system can be sw itched on in
addition to the heater. M oisture is
then extracted either from the
fresh air or from the recirculation
air, depending upon the setting o f
tem perature sw itch 8 . This cooled
and dehydrated air can be reheated
to a pleasant tem perature by po
sitioning heater controls 2 and 3
accordingly. This action quickly
dries up the w indow s.
Im p o rta n t!
In order to keep the air co n d itio n
ing system in good w orking co nd i
tion at all tim es, it is necessary to
operate the system briefly at least
once a m onth even during the
seasons it is norm ally not required.
Make sure th a t the am bient te m
perature is above 2° C/36° F
since the A /C com pressor w ill not
operate below this tem perature.
To avoid annoying cold air, sw itch
blow er to the low est speed only
and tu rn on the heater, if desired.
