Fuel consum ption depends to a
great extent on driving habits and
operating conditions.
In order to save fuel you should:
• ensure th a t tire pressures are
correct
• not carry unnecessary loads
• rem ove ski racks o r roof-
m ounted luggage racks when
not in use
• not w arm up your engine at idle
and w ith the vehicle at standstill
• avoid frequent acceleration and
deceleration
• avoid frequent braking
• avoid unnecessarily high speeds
• have all the m aintenance jobs
specified by us carried o u t at
regular intervals by a
MERCEDES-BENZ service
station.
Driving in lo w tem perature
weather, in stop-and-go city tra ffic
and on short hops, and in hilly
co un try as w ell increases fuel
consum ption.
