INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new food processor, please read
through these instructions carefully before using it for the first time.
We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future
reference, so that you can remind yourself of the functions of your
food processor.
SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the food processor
•
Incorrect use of the food processor may cause personal injury
and damage to the appliance.
•
Use the food processor for its intended purpose only. The
manufacturer is not responsible for any damage resulting from
incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
•
The food processor may only be connected to 230 V, 50 Hz.
•
The base of the food processor or cord must not be
submerged in water or any other liquid.
•
Do not operate with wet or damp hands. Make sure that no
liquid gets into the motor section.
•
Never leave the food processor unattended when in use and
keep an eye on children.
•
The blade and grating/slicing disc must be handled with
caution, as these parts are extremely sharp. Always remove
the blade before emptying the mixing bowl.
•
Do not leave the food processor running for more than 1
minute at a time. If the food processor has been running for 1
minute, you should leave it to cool down before you use it
again.
•
Do not use the food processor if the bowl or jug is empty.
•
This food processor is not suitable for commercial or outdoor
use.
•
NEVER use your fingers, kitchen utensils or similar to push
ingredients down the feed tube! Use the accompanying
pusher.
•
Do not remove any accessories until the food processor has
stopped completely.
•
Do not use the blade and the grating/slicing disc at the same
time in the mixing bowl.
•
Do not use the blender and the mixing bowl at the same time.
Where to put the food processor
•
Always place the food processor at the back of the kitchen
counter.
•
Do not place the food processor next to hot areas, for
example gas rings and electric hotplates.
•
Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a
table/counter, and keep it away from hot objects and naked
flames.
Cord, plug and mains socket
•
Ensure that the cord is fully extended.
•
Check regularly that the cord and plug are not damaged and
do not use the food processor if there is any damage, or if it
has been dropped or damaged in any other way.
•
If the food processor, cord or plug is damaged, the food
processor must be inspected and, if necessary, repaired by an
authorised repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk of electric
shock. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.
•
Unplug the food processor before changing accessories,
taking the lid off the bowl or cleaning, and when the food
processor is not in use.
•
Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the
socket. Instead, hold the plug.
•
Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the food
processor cord or any extension cord.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Place the base (8) on a flat surface, e.g. a kitchen counter, and
make sure it is standing firmly on the four suckers underneath.
Before using the food processor for the first time, or after
prolonged storage without use, wash any parts that will come into
contact with food.
USING THE FOOD PROCESSOR
•
Fit the required accessories, and place the ingredients into the
food processor as described below.
•
Start the food processor by turning the on/off button (9) to
position 1 or 2 and switch it off by turning it back to position 0.
•
To use the food processor for brief food preparation, turn the
on/off button to position P (pulse function). The food
processor will run at top speed as long as you hold the button
down in that position, and will stop when you release the
button, which then automatically reverts to position 0.
•
When using the blender (2) or blade (13), you should stop the
food processor at regular intervals and check whether the
food has been adequately blended/chopped.
