(9). Depress EEC RESET until EEC MAN
blinks on IIDS panel. Rotate the
collective twist grip back to
NORMAL
position and verify that detent engages
and
EEC MAN is off.
(10). Rotate the collective twist grip out of
the feel detents at its NORMAL
position to confirm that detent module
will disengage the EEC to the manual
controls. Observe that
EEC MAN is
illuminated on IIDS panel for indica­
tion that the EEC is disengaged
.
(11). Press OFF GATE REL ( 900 CONFIG )
release button and manually shut down
engine in accordance with the current
applicable Rotorcraft Flight Manual.
(12). Depress EEC RESET until EEC MAN
blinks on IIDS panel. Rotate the
collective twist grip back to
NORMAL
position and verify that detent engages
and
EEC MAN is off.
(13). Remove external power
(Ref. Section 96-00-00).

(1). Apply external power (Ref. Section
96-00-00).
(2). Apply hydraulic pressure (Ref. External
Hydraulic Pressure Application (GSE
Cart), Section 29-00-00).
Avoid applying side loads on
detent module control rod ends
when connecting or disconnecting control
cables from detent module. Bending of con­
trol rods may cause damage or render the
detent module inoperative.
NOTE:
When rigging pilot and copilot collective
stick twist grips, ensure that rig pin in en­
gine control box is removed or engine control
cables between detent module and engine
control boxes are disconnected.
(3). Loosen jam nuts (2) and cable end
fittings (4) on bottom side of the detent
module (1).
To avoid damage to collective
stick, it is necessary to first
press the CFU release button on the collec­
tive control module before attempting to
move collective stick.
(4). Position the collective stick (8) near mid
collective travel and rotate left and
right engine twist grips (5) out of the
feel detents. Verify that the
EEC MAN
manual mode indicator on the IIDS
panel is on steadily.
(5). Depress EEC RESET until EEC MAN
blinks on IIDS panel. Rotate the
collective twist grips until detents
engage and
EEC MAN is off.
(6). With jam nuts loose, rotate adjustment
connectors (3) on bottom side of detent
module until
NORMAL indicator
arrows on both twist grips align with
the arrow on the collective stick within
0.030 inch (0.762 mm) .
(7). Rotate both twist grips clockwise and
counterclockwise about the NORMAL
position and adjust the connectors on
the bottom side of the detent module so
that freeplay at the grips is equidistant
about the
NORMAL position marks on
the body of the stick and grips.
(8). Torque jam nuts on bottom side of
detent module. Verify distance between
top of adjustment connector (3) wrench­
ing surface and case of detent module
(1) is
0.84 inch (21.33 mm) maximum
(Ref. Figure 601). Safety jam nuts (2)
with lockwire (C702).
