ROTOR FLIGHT CONTROLS
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Collective Stick Boot
(Ref. Figure 401)
A. Collective Stick Boot Removal
(1). Pull collective stick boot (1) hook and
loop fastener from floor.
(2). Remove boot (1) from around collective
control stick (2).
B. Collective Stick Boot Installation
(1). Install collective stick boot (1) on
collective control stick (2).
(2). Push hook and loop fasteners together
against floor and around collective stick
(2).
2. Collective Control Module
(Ref. Figure 401)
A. Collective Control Module Removal
(1). Disconnect electrical connector P1 (3).
Do not remove or loosen the hex
head screws in the throttle twist
grips. This could cause a disengagement of
the manual throttle mechanism.
(2). Align holes in mechanical engine
controls twist grip (4) as necessary and
remove screw (5).
(3). Remove control module (6).
B. Collective Control Module Installation
(1). Install control module (6) on end of
collective stick (2).
(2). Align holes in mechanical engine
controls twist grip (4) as necessary and
install screw(5).
(a). Torque screw (5).
(3). Connect electrical connector P1 (3).
(4). Do the mechanical engine controls
operational check (ref. Section
76-00-00).
3. Pilot Collective Control Stick Assembly

A. Pilot Collective Control Stick Assembly
Removal
(1). Remove pilot crew seat (ref. Section
25-10-00).
(2). Remove collective stick boot (1).
(3). Remove access panel AR138, AR145,
and B142 (ref. Section 06-00-00).
(4). Disconnect electrical connector P2 (7).
Be careful when you disconnect
mechanical engine control ca­
bles. If you are not careful, damage to con­
trol cables can occur.
NOTE:
Mark left and right mechanical engine
control cables (8).
(5). Remove and discard lockwire. Discon­
nect mechanical engine control cables
(8).
NOTE:
DUAL CONTROLS - Mark the left
and right mechanical engine control inter­
connect cables (9).
(6). DUAL CONTROLS - Remove and
discard lockwire, disconnect mechanical
engine control interconnect cables (9).
(7). Apply external electrical power with
ground power unit (T2002) (ref.
CSP-900RMM-3).
