B. Collective Friction Unit Arm Assembly
Installation
NOTE:
Collective friction unit shaft has a mis­
sing spline for arm alignment.
(1). Put collective friction unit arm (35) on
collective friction unit (36) splines and
install bolt (34), washers (33), and nut
(32).
(a). Torque nut (32).
(2). Install bolt (29), washers (31), and nut
(30).
(a). Install new cotter pin (28).
(3). Install center Access Panel B142 (ref.
Section 06-00-00).
(4). Do steps (10). through (14). of Collec­
tive Controls System Rigging (Lower).

T2002 Ground Power Unit
A. Removal
(1). Remove center Access Panel B142 (ref.
Section 06-00-00).
(2). Apply external electrical power with
ground power unit (T2002) (ref.
CSP-900RMM-3).
Flight Control Movement
(3). Pull the collective friction release
switch and lift pilot collective stick (2)
to approximately 15 to 30 percent
shown on IIDS to unload the collective
controls.
(4). Remove external electrical power (ref.
CSP-900RMM-3).
(5). Disconnect Electrical Connector P153
(37).
(6). Remove cotter pin (28) from bolt (29).
(7). Remove nut (30), washers (31), and bolt
(29).
(8). Remove environmental seal from
around collective friction unit (19).
(9). Remove bolts (21), washers (22), and
collective friction unit (19).
B. Installation
(1). Prepare collective friction unit (36) to
structure mating surfaces for electrical
bond (ref. CSP-SPM).
(2). Put collective friction unit (36) in its
installed position and install bolts (38,
39, and 40) and washers (41).
(a). Torque bolts (38, 39, and 40) to 50 to
70 in-lb (5.6 to 7.9 N-m) beyond
locking torque.
Sealant, Fuel Resistant (C216)
(3). Apply sealant (C216) around the
outside edges of the collective friction
unit (36)that touches the rotorcraft
structure and fasteners (ref. CSP-
SPM).
(4). Do a test on collective friction unit (36)
for Class “L” electrical bond (ref.
CSP-SPM).
(5). Install bolt (29), washers (31), and nut
(30) on collective friction unit arm
assembly (35).
(a). Install new cotter pin (28).
(6). Connect Electrical Connector P153 (37).
(7). Install center Access Panel B142 (ref.
Section 06-00-00).
(8). Do steps (10). through (14). of Collec­
tive Controls System Rigging (Lower).
