4) Lift the rear portion of seat cushion to
upright position.
5) Remove the head restraint (if equipped)
from the seat back(s).

6) Pull up the release straps on the top of
the seat(s), and fold the seatback for-
ward.

7) Insert the head restraint(s) (if equipped)
rod (1) into the loop (2) provided on the
cushion(s).
To return the seat to the normal position,
follow the procedure below.

After folding the rear seatback for-
ward, do not allow any foreign mate-
rial to enter the lock slot. This may
cause damage to the inside of the
lock and prevent the seatback from
being locked securely.

EXAMPLE
WARNING
If you need to carry cargo in the pas-
senger compartment with the rear
seat back folded forward, be sure to
secure the cargo or it may be thrown
about, causing injury. Never pile
cargo higher than the seatbacks.
WARNING
When returning the rear seatback to
the normal position, make sure that
there is nothing around the striker.
Any foreign materials prevent the
seatback from being locked securely.
