8) Tool Kit
A tool kit containing tools for basic
maintenance is supplied with the vehi-
cle.
The tool kit support is located in engine
compartment on pulley guard.
NOTICE
Make sure tool kit is se-
cured properly to avoid contact with
CVT (continuously variable trans-
mission).

9) Drive Belt Guard
Drive Belt Guard Removal
WARNING
NEVER operate engine:
– Without shields and drive belt
guard securely installed.
– With hood and/or side panels
opened or removed.
NEVER attempt to make adjust-
ments to moving parts while en-
gine is running.
NOTE:
Belt guard is purposely made
slightly oversize to maintain tension on
its pins and retainers preventing undue
noise and vibration. It is important that
this tension be maintained when rein-
stalling.
Remove tether cord cap from engine
cut-off switch.
Open engine compartment LH side
panel, see procedure in this subsec-
tion.
Remove retaining pin.

Lift rear portion of guard then release
from front tabs by pivoting the guard
outwards.
Drive Belt Guard Installation
When reinstalling drive belt guard,
position its cutaway toward front of
snowmobile.
Insert the tab into the slot and push it
into place
