4-3. How to drive and stop
(1) Transmission Warm-up in cold weather
The tractor hydraulic oil also serves as the tractor transmission fluid. During cold weather operation,
the hydraulic oil viscosity increases. This increase in oil viscosity restricts the oil's ability to flow and
lubricate in the transmission and hydraulic circuits. The cold oil can result in abnormal noises and
slower operation times due to the increased oil viscosity.
NOTE: A warm up time at 50% rated engine speed is recommended to assure proper vehicle
functionality, transmission lubrication and operation.
NOTE: Do not operate the tractor under full load condition until the hydraulic oil is sufficiently
warmed up.

Unexpected movement!
During the warm-up operation, do the following: Engage the parking brake,
set all shift levers to their NEUTRAL positions, and place the Power Take-Off
(PTO) switch in the OFF position.
Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.
