Balance
Purpose
The Balance screen is displayed by tapping on the Balance icon in the
Diagnostics
screen.
This screen is intended for advanced diagnostics use by Loma Service Engineers or Customer
Engineers only.
It displays the balance values for all or individual system frequencies in a graphical format to assist in
analysis of the detector operation. The current head drive and channel gain settings are also
displayed.
Screen Contents
The screen is divided into three tabbed panes and includes other items as described below.
The following information is displayed in the top right hand corner of the screen:
Capture
This field displays ‘Active’ when the data capturing process is in progress and ‘Not active’
when it has been stopped.
Balance reads
This field displays the current balance value.
Graph
This field displays the last time taken to redraw the graph, in milliseconds.
Elapsed
This field displays the total time that has elapsed since the data capture process was initiated.
Frequency
This field displays the frequency number, from 1 to 70, currently being used; followed by a
percentage completion figure for the whole process. This information is only displayed when
the Frequency tab is selected.
The following items and information are displayed at the bottom of the screen:
Frequency
This field displays the currently selected frequency in kHz.
Signal
This field displays the P and Q channel signals for the currently selected frequency.
Balance
This field displays the balance signal. This is shown as a voltage in brackets below the signal
value. This is calculated by dividing the current balance value by 54 and then adding 0.75.
Capture / Stop
This button is used to start and stop the data capture process when either the Frequency or
time tabs are selected. The button legend toggles between ‘Capture’, which indicates that the
process has not been started and ‘Stop’, which indicates that the process has been started.
The information displayed in each of the tabbed panes is as follows:
