Threshold
Purpose
The currently set product Threshold signal level is displayed in a number panel opposite the thick 'red'
Threshold line on the product signal dial in the
Main Run
screen. Products with a signal value above
this level will be rejected. This value is set automatically during the product Learn process.
Tapping on the threshold value displays the pop-up Threshold screen through which you can adjust
the threshold value manually and therefore the sensitivity of the detector:
High numbers give lower detector performance and smaller numbers give higher detector
performance. Setting the Threshold too low will lead to false rejects.
Screen Contents
The Threshold screen contains the following controls:
Each time you tap the button once it reduces the threshold value
by 0.5% of its current value.
The current product signal being displayed and the position of
the slider then change to the show the new value and position.
Displays the product signal being received at the time the
Threshold screen was first displayed.
Displays the minimum, maximum and average product signal
values available at the time the Threshold screen was first
displayed; only shown if you are logged in at Engineer level.
Displays the current product signal threshold value. Tapping on
the value displays the pop-up numeric keypad display so that you
can manually enter a new value.
Each time you tap the button once it increases the threshold
value by 0.5% of its current value.
The current product signal being displayed and the position of
the slider then change to the show the new value and position.
Displays a scale and slider. The scale range starts at minus 10%
of the current threshold value up to plus 10% of the value.
The slider is located in the centre of the scale, indicating the
current threshold value.
Place your finger on the slider and move it to the right or left, up
and down the scale, to change the signal threshold value.
The current product signal being displayed then changes to show
the new value.
