Unexpected Messages and Observations

Apply Blood
Meter is ready for
blood application.
Obtain a drop of capillary
blood and apply it to center of
pink test square.
• If white pad becomes sat-
urated, you have applied
too much blood. Repeat
application with new test
strip.
• If white patches or streaks
appear on confirmation
dot, you have not applied
enough blood. Repeat
application with new test
strip.
Battery too low
to use scanner
or SIR
Not enough battery
power to use barcode
scanner/infrared
communication port.
Change batteries or enter
information manually.
Check
Connections
at Meter
1.Meter removed
from connection
module before
connection
established.
2. Bad connection
between modem
and connection
module.
3.Connection module
or modem error.
1.Do not remove meter from
connection module until
link is established and
data is transferred.
2.Check connection
between connection
module and modem.
3.Contact LifeScan.
