Using ICP Preamplifier
When using an ICP power preamplifier, additional
information can be displayed as shown in FIGURE 5-10

Here we can see how the DC voltage measured at the input
of the Model 831 is useful in diagnosing problems with the
input signal. The
Fault:Open
indicator is shown if the
voltage is too high (34.3 Vdc) and the
Fault:Shorted
indicator is shown if the voltage is too low (0.0 Vdc). The
nominal voltage (10.9 Vdc) when there is no fault is also
helpful in verifying that the unit is biased properly and that
the maximum signal excursion is possible.
