4.3.2 Maintenance Messages
The following table contains maintenance messages that you can deal with
by yourself. If

does not operate when this message is displayed.

indicator turns on. Indicates a mechanical error. Call a service
person. 0123456 indicates the number of printed pages. (If #### is 7980 or 7990, see
below.)

The
ATTENTION
indicator turns on. The waste toner reservoir is full. 0123456
indicates the number of printed pages. Turn off the printer’s power and remove the
process unit from the printer. Gently shake the process unit horizontally a few times,
then reinstall it into the printer. Turn on the printer’s power. If this error message
does not disappear, contact your Kyocera Mita dealer (less than 100,000 pages
printing).

The
ATTENTION
indicator turns on. The waste toner reservoir is full. 0123456
indicates the number of printed pages. Same as above (100,000 pages printing or
more).

The
ATTENTION
indicator turns on and the
READY
indicator goes off. Indicates that
either the top or front cover of the printer is open. Open and close again securely.
Load Cassette #
(paper size)/(paper type)*
*(paper size) and (paper
type) are displayed flashing
alternately.
The
ATTENTION
indicator turns on and and the
READY
indicator flashes. There is
data for printing that matches with a paper cassette setting (paper size, paper type),
but there is no paper in the paper cassette.
Set paper into the paper source as displayed on the operator panel, and the printer
will resume printing. However, the paper source number (
#
) is only displayed when
there is an option paper feeder installed.

and you can change the source for paper feeding.
After selecting a paper source and pressing the
MENU
key,
Paper Handling >
appears. By pressing the > key, the paper type settings menu appears. After setting
the correct paper type, press the
ENTER
key and printing starts.
