5.4.3 Cutter bar – oil change

Changing oil cutter bar
• Locate the drain plug in the
hole of the skid under the
gearbox and remove it.
• Let the oil flow into a suitable
container.
• Allow the last of the oil to drip
out of the cutter bar for
approx. 10 - 15 minutes.
• Fit the drain plug into the
cutter bar and tighten it fully.
Changing oil cutter bar
• Lower the machine back down to
the working position.
• Remove the filling plug; and fill
the cutter with the recommended
amount of oil.
• Fit the filling plug back again.
Note; Don’t overfill!
For the cutter bar always use
SAE GL4 EP 80

After the first 50 hrs. thereafter
every 200 hours or once a year.
• The oil in the cutter bar is
changed as follows:
• Activate the tractor's lift arms
and raise the machine
completely free of the ground.
• Pull in the cord and release the
lock catch.
• Bring the cutter bar in transport
position
