Removing chuck
See Figure 26.
1. Unplug the drill press.
2. Lower the spindle until the slots in the spindle are visible.
3. Insert the screwdriver into the spindle slot.
4. Using a strap wrench, rotate the chuck clockwise to remove the chuck from the spindle.
IMPORTANT: Make sure and hold onto the chuck to prevent it from dropping when it is released from
the spindle nose.
5. Remove the screwdriver from the spindle.
A - Hex nut
B - Spindle pulley
C - Motor pulley
