15.0 Automatic Ignition (if mounted).
In connection with the use of wood pellets, it is possible to equip stoker with automatic ignition.
The automatic ignition is controlled by several parameters.
.
STARTUP OXY LIMIT: Oxygen limit at which management, detect fire as gone out. If oxygen value is
higher than STARTUP OXY LIMIT starts, by using spark fan, after the
following
principle.
START FUEL:
Feeding time for the screw, to put in pellets before activating the automatic
ignition. The quantity of pellet that are controlled by the time in PF, have to be
big, so that they nearly reaches the ignition nozzle without closing it.
When START FUEL time expires, the screw will stop, and the ignition fan starts. The air supplied is
600 C hot and this is after 30-60 seconds enough to ignite pills.
OXYGEN DIFFERENS: When the oxygen in the startup has come under START-UP OXY LIMIT -
OXYGEN DIFFERENS, the fan starts up and the boiler goes into step 2 or 3,
depending on the applied load
OSB:
After the expiry of the time of OSB ( time in minut), the feed screw start in it
normally running steps and gives more fuel for the ignition function.
Normal value for the OSB is 3 minute.
STARTUP FAN:
Determines how strong the fan should run in start-up mode.
STARTUP TIME:
Should it unlikely failure to get oxygen down by the end of STARTUP TIME
the boiler will stop and must be manually restarted.
AUT. IGNITION:
The automatic ignition is a good solution in combination with solar heating.
0 = No Automatic Ignition
1 = The Ignition, is activated only when the button “OPSTART” is pressed
(then uses ordinary pause operation)
2 = Normal Automatic Ignition for standard units, with Tank or Automatic
boilers
3 = Automatic Ignition for Automatic units, the stoker screw will be empty
before stopping
15.1 Ignition problems
Is stoker gone to stop after the expiry of STARTUP TIME, it may be due to initial portion, START
PORTION, is too small, so there is not enough fuel to get oxygen below the threshold.
Too big START Portion can result in flue gas explosion.
When oxygen sensor eventually become burned out and is not registering properly. It can lead to that the
oxygen not can get over STARTUP OXY LIMIT, and management therefore does not perceive that the
fire has gone out.
NOTE: Auto-ignition is generally only intended for use by the use of wood pellets.
If Auto-ignition is mounted please use the settings in supplement B2.
