6.5 Boiler temperature.
You are free to choose the boiler forward temperature, but KSM recommend minimum 70°C when
combusting woodpellets, and 80°C when combusting woodchips or grain.

6.6 Pause period.
When the boiler has reached beyond the set temperature and switches into the pause period, fuel must be
added in adequate intervals. This has 2 purposes – to maintain the pilot flame during the pause period,
and the prevent the embers from creeping backwards through the screw tube.
If the pause periode is to long, you risk that the pilot fire will die or that you are in danger of a backfire.
On the other hand, if you set a too short pause period, too much fuel is fed into the burner during the
pause period, and the temperature will escalate quietly but steadily until the control will overboil.
