If none of the digital inputs has been connected in open-loop control mode,
PumpDrive will use the setpoint specification as the output frequency.

The following table lists the fixed speeds that can be used. Parameters Prset Out Frq1
(3-5-3-1)
to Prset Out Frq3
(3-5-3-3)
can be used to change the fixed speeds within the
set frequency range from Frequency Low
(3-6-1-2)
to Frequency High
(3-6-1-3)
.

If PumpDrive (single-pump operation) is in closed-loop control mode and has been
set to operation at fixed speed (
Section 7.2.5 Page 90) , the drive will respond as
follows:
▪
If none of the digital inputs (configured for fixed speed) is connected, PumpDrive
will control pump operation in line with the given process variables.
▪
Once the digital inputs (configured for fixed speed) are connected, PumpDrive
will switch from closed-loop control mode to operation at fixed speed. The
PumpDrive output frequency will then correspond to the values in accordance
with parameters Prset Out Frq1
(3-5-3-1)
to Prset Out Frq3
(3-5-3-3)
.
▪
Once the digital inputs are disconnected, PumpDrive will switch back to closed-
loop control mode.

Start and stop ramps
NOTE
Starting and stopping is effected by means of ramps with two sections each (see
figure for start and stop ramps). The gradient of a ramp section is defined by a
length of time (parameters
3-3-6-1
to
3-3-6-5)
and a frequency change. This
frequency change corresponds to the maximum output frequency
(3-11-4-1)
. For the
start procedure, a switchover from ramp 0 to ramp 1 is made when the frequency
defined in parameter
3-3-6-6
is reached. For the stop procedure, a switchover from
ramp 1 to ramp 0 is made when the frequency defined in parameter
3-3-6-7
is
reached.
The start procedure along the ramp sections ends when the setpoint frequency (open
and closed-loop control mode) or output frequency (manual mode) is reached
(3-5-3-4)
. Ramp 2 only needs to be parameterised for multiple pump configurations:
The first pump is started via ramp 0 and ramp 1. Each subsequent pump is started via
ramp 0 and ramp 2. When the pumps are stopped, the process is reversed (i.e. all
pumps but the final one are stopped via ramp 2 and ramp 0).
