3.3 Storage/preservation
CAUTION
Damage during storage due to frost, humidity, dirt, UV radiation or vermin
Corrosion/contamination of the lifting unit!

Store the lifting unit in a frost-proof, roofed area.
CAUTION
Wet, contaminated or damaged openings and connections
Leakage or damage of the lifting unit!
▷
Only open the openings of the lifting unit at the time of installation.
NOTE
Please observe the manufacturer's instructions for application and removal of the
preservative.
If commissioning is to take place some time after delivery, we recommend that the
following measures be taken :
Storage
Store the sewage lifting unit in a dry, protected room with a constant atmospheric
humidity.

Preservation
1. Remove hexagon socket head cap screws 914.04.
2. Remove rotating assembly 01-44 from plate 185.01 using two forcing screws
(M8).
3. Lift rotating assembly 01-44 out of collecting tank 591.
4. Preserve rotating assembly 01-44 with oil.
5. Fasten rotating assembly 01-44 with hexagon socket head cap screws 914.04.
Observe the tightening torques.
3.4 Return to supplier
1. Drain the lifting unit as described in the manual.
2. Always flush and clean the lifting unit, particularly if it has been used for
handling noxious, explosive, hot or other hazardous fluids.
3. If the unit has handled fluids whose residues could lead to corrosion damage in
the presence of atmospheric humidity or could ignite upon contact with oxygen,
the unit must also be neutralised and blown through with anhydrous inert gas
to ensure drying.
4. Always complete and enclose a certificate of decontamination when returning
