Adjusting the universal shaft
NOTICE
Changing the tractor
The machine could be damaged if the universal shaft length is not checked when changing
the tractor.
In order to avoid damage to the machine, check universal shaft length every time the
tractor is changed and correct it, if necessary,
.
KWG000-007
Connect the machine to the tractor without a universal shaft.
Drive in the three-point hitch all the way.
Move the machine into the shortest universal shaft position. The shortest position is reached
when the PTO shaft end of the tractor and the drive journal of the machine are at the same
height horizontally.
Switch off the tractor, remove the ignition key and take it with you.
Secure machine and tractor against rolling away.
Disassemble the universal shaft.
Attach the universal shaft half with the wide-angle coupling (1) on the machine side.
Attach the other universal shaft half (2) on the tractor side.
For further procedure, please refer to the operating instructions of the universal shaft
manufacturer.
NOTICE
Damage to the machine due to swivel range of the universal shaft
Make sure to take into account the swivel range of the universal shaft in all operating states.
Otherwise parts may touch the universal shaft which leads to damages at the tractor and/or
machine.
Ensure there is enough room for the universal shaft to swivel in all operating states
(cornering with maximum steering angle).

Remove the preservation wax from the tines
INFORMATION
Preservation wax at the tines leads to clumping of the cut crops at the tines, resulting in
impairment of the working process.
