Basic Settings and Operation
Removing/replacing cutters
To remove / install cutters
Always wear protective gloves!
•
Remove the cutter (1)
•
Install a new or ground cutter (1)
When replacing cutters, make certain that:
•
the cutters are lying on the blade shaft
correctly
•
the cutters are centred in the slot (2)
Before the cutter tray is raised, check to
make certain all the cutters (1) are
correctly installed. They should form a
straight line.
•
Lock the blade shaft.
•
Adjust the chop length (move the cutter control shafts
(A/B) to the "+" setting)

After the cutter control shafts have been adjusted, the
cutters automatically swivel back up into working
position.
Since the cutters are pre-tensioned by
spring force, never press the cutters into
working position manually. Always use a
tool (for example a hammer).
Check to make certain all the cutters have
swivelled up. If they have not, lightly tap
any cutters that have not already swivelled
up with a tool (for example a hammer)
striking the back of the cutters to move
them back to working position.
Unlock the blade shaft:
•
Pull the locking pin out of the locking device by
pulling the button (1) and rotate into position (b).
The supplied key can also be used for locking/
unlocking the blade shaft.
