1 .2 .3 Cautions Relating to the
Power Supply and the
Power Cable
WARNING
•
Under no circumstances should the ground be con-
nected to a gas pipe: this could cause a gas explo
-
sion .
•
The following points should be strictly observed in
order to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire.
-Always use the power cable provided with the
device .
-Do not use the supplied power cable for other
devices as the cable is for this device only .
-Use a rated outlet for the power supply .
-Use a power supply with a ground wire included .
-
Do not use an extension cord.
-
Do not use multiple outlet extension plugs.
-
Make sure the power supply is firmly and prop
-
erly plugged into the outlet .
-
When the device is to be left unoperated for ex
-
tended periods of time, the power plug should be
disconnected from the power outlet .
-
Make sure that the device is not exposed to wa
-
ter or other liquids .
-Never hold the power plug with wet hands .
-Be careful to ensure that no dirt or dust accumu-
lates on the power plug .
CAUTION
• In order to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire due
to damage to the power cable, the following cau-
tions should be strictly observed:
-Do not tug on the power cable .
-Do not twist the power cable .
-Do not bundle power cables .
-
Do not fix the power cable in place using, for ex

ample, a stapler .
-Do not allow the power cable to become trapped
between two objects.
-
Do not place objects on the power cable.
-The power cable should not be used near any
heat generating devices .
-Do not carry out modifications, repairs or other
processes on the power cable .
A damaged power cable should be immediately re-
placed by a power cable of identical standard .

when installing or moving the device .

When storing the device, make sure to fulfill the
“Environment” outlined in “Specifications.”

Use the USB cable specified by our company for
device connection . Also, take the following precau-
tions when handling and connecting a USB cable .
-Do not use a damaged cable .
-Be careful to ensure that no dirt or dust accumu-
lates on the connector .
