establish RS-422 communication between the MRU and the Processing 
Unit. Otherwise there will be no communication between these two 
components. 

 

Note

 

The junction box housing is grounded to earth through the screws for 
mounting the box to the wall or floor. Please note that if the foundation on 
which the junction box is mounted, is NOT connected to earth, one of the 
junction box mounting screws has to be connected to earth by connecting a 
wire from the screw to an object that is connected to earth.

Connect the cables for output data from Seapath to external equipment to the Com 
ports 1 and 2 or the terminals Com9 to Com14, analog output signals or the 
Ethernet connection. 

 

Note

 

Cable with shield has to be used in order to fulfil the Seapath  power and 
EMC requirements.

Connect the 110/230 V AC ship's power supply to the power connector at the rear 
of the Processing Unit.

Connect the 110/230 V AC ship's power supply to the power connector at the rear 
of the HMI Unit. 

9 

Connect the cable from the monitor, PC mouse and the keyboard to the 
corresponding connectors at the rear of the HMI Unit. 

10 

Connect the monitor for the HMI Unit to 110/230V AC ship power.
