Remove any dirt or dust that is accumulated to evacuator
valve (4) installed to cover (3).
NOTICE
When cleaning the element, do not hit or beat it against
anything.

Direct dry compressed air (less than 0.69 MPa (7 kgf/cm
2
)
to the outer element from inside along its folds, then direct
it from outside along its folds and again from inside.
1) Replace the outer element which has been cleaned 6
times repeatedly or used throughout a year. Replace the
inner element at the same time.
2) Replace both inner and outer elements when the air cleaner clogging monitor (1) lights up soon after install-
ing the cleaned outer element even though it has not been cleaned 6 times.

If small holes or thinner parts are found on the element
when it is checked by shining a light through it after clean-
ing, replace the element.
9.
Remove the cloth or tape covering inner element (6).

Do not use an element whose folds or gasket or seal are damaged.

If the element or O-ring are cleaned and used again after they have been used for more than one year,
it will cause problems. Do not use them again.
10. Check that there is no dirt or oil stuck to the seal portion of the new element or cleaned element. Wipe off any
dirt or oil.
11. Push the outer element in straight with your hand when installing it to the air cleaner body.
If the outer element is held and rocked lightly up and down and to the left and right while pushing it in, the outer
element can be inserted easily.
